My Fiancé Accidentally Left Our Call Connected, and I Heard Him Tell His Family He’d Take My House and Savings After the Wedding—So I Changed the Ceremony, but Saved My Cruelest Surprise for Last – PART 2

I looked at Patricia.

“You knew about me?”

She said nothing.

“Patricia?”

Kenneth grabbed my arm.

“Laura, this is getting out of control.”

I pulled away.

“Don’t touch me.”

Dylan immediately stepped closer.

My twins stayed beside him.

That was all I needed to remember why I couldn’t fall apart.

Not here.

Not yet.

I turned to Rachel.

“Tell me everything.”

Kenneth shouted,

“No!”

My attorney stepped between us.

“Kenneth, I strongly suggest you remain quiet.”

Rachel took a shaky breath.

“Kenneth and I married eleven years ago. For the first few years, everything seemed normal.”

She looked at me.

“Then money started disappearing.”

My stomach tightened.

“What kind of money?”

“My inheritance.”

The room went silent again.

Rachel’s father had died and left her property and investments.

Kenneth convinced her to combine some assets.

Then came documents.

Loans.

Transfers.

Signatures she barely remembered giving.

By the time Rachel realized what was happening, nearly everything was gone.
