My Fiancé Accidentally Left Our Call Connected, and I Heard Him Tell His Family He’d Take My House and Savings After the Wedding—So I Changed the Ceremony, but Saved My Cruelest Surprise for Last – PART 2

I stared at the marriage certificate until the letters seemed to move.

Kenneth’s full name.

The woman’s full name.

A wedding date from eleven years earlier.

And no divorce record.

My fingers tightened around the folder.

“You’re married?”

Kenneth stepped toward me.

“Laura, please. Let me explain.”

The woman beside my attorney laughed bitterly.

“That’s exactly what he told me when I discovered the second woman.”

Second woman.

The ballroom erupted in whispers.

I looked at her.

“What second woman?”

Kenneth snapped,

“Rachel, stop.”

So that was her name.

Rachel turned toward him.

“No, Kenneth. You’ve had years to make everyone else stop talking. I’m finished helping you hide.”

Patricia pushed through the front row.

“This woman is unstable.”

Rachel looked at her.

“You told me the same thing about Laura.”

My stomach dropped.

Patricia froze.

Rachel continued.

“You said she was an obsessed client who wouldn’t leave Kenneth alone.”
