Tim Curry (1946–2026)
English actor and singer Tim Curry died on August 25, 2026, at his home in Los Angeles, at age 80, after soaring to fame in the '70s as the flamboyant star of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." Over nearly 60 years, he amassed more than 240 credits on screen and stage, becoming known for iconic roles beyond Frank-N-Furter, including memorable turns in Clue, IT, Legend, and Muppet Treasure Island. He also lent his voice to Hexxus in FernGully, Sir Nigel Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys, and Chancellor Palpatine in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He had suffered a debilitating stroke in 2012 but continued working as an artist and, most recently, as a writer, publishing his memoir Vagabond in 2025, just a year before his passing.
