My Twin Sister Died in a Fiery Car Accident Ten Years Ago—Then a Dental Office Called and Asked Me to Pick Her Up, but What I Saw in That Waiting Room Was Even More Terrifying – PART 2

Astrid grabbed my wrist so tightly it hurt.

“We need to leave. Now.”

The gray-haired man had stopped just inside the clinic.

He looked ordinary.

Dark coat. Gray slacks. Reading glasses.

Nothing about him should have terrified me.

But Astrid was trembling.

“Who is he?”

“I don’t know his real name.”

“You said he identified your body.”

“He did.”

The man started walking toward us.

Astrid pulled me toward a side hallway.

“Is there another exit?” she asked the receptionist.

The receptionist stared at us.

“Through the staff room.”

We hurried through the door.

Behind us, the man called calmly,

“Hannah.”

I froze.

He knew me.

Astrid yanked me forward.

“Don’t turn around.”

We rushed through the staff room and emerged into a rear parking lot.

My car was twenty yards away.

We ran.

Once inside, I locked the doors.

“Drive.”

I started the engine.

The gray-haired man appeared at the clinic’s rear door just as I pulled away.
