The young woman stood outside wearing a simple coat, holding an umbrella in one hand and a small envelope in the other.
She asked if the millionaire was home.
When he heard her name, his heart stopped.
He told the housekeeper to let her in.
She entered the living room.
He looked at her for a long moment.
“You came back.”
“I did.”
“Why?”
She smiled faintly.
“Because I missed you.”
He looked away.
